After fifteen years this February, 2 Funky are closing their doors to their retail outlet.
2Funky has not only been a big part of Leicester’s Urban Music scene, but has had customers from all over the world, who have helped it become one of Europe’s best urban music stores! Many of you may remember their first shop on Narborough Road, before the move to Belgrave Gate.

Their history of serving big-name artists has included Fat Man Scoop, Tim Westwood and DJ Jazzy Jeff, and industry figures from 1Xtra, Kiss FM and Galaxy!
Other Successful ventures have included a world-wide mail order business, a distribution company, two record labels (Café De Soul & 2Funky Records), M2F urban music magazine, and workshops with young people regionally.
They were also involved in club nights, comedy nights, concerts and youth showcases have also been part of our history.
The GOOD news is that they will continue all their other projects from their new offices at LCB Depot, Rutland Street, Leicester right in the centre of the Cultural Quarter.
You can still buy tickets to our events from www.2funkytickets.co.uk. 2Funky Arts is also still running a range of creative learning opportunities – www.2funkyarts.co.uk and will continue to do so.
As a big thank you to all their supporters, 2Funky are organising a 15th Birthday Party, at Thread (Yeoman St), on Saturday 4 February.
